God's Trombone

Blackness. Jazz. Rap. Politics. History. Religion. When I'm stressed I turn to Coltrane and when I'm angry it's Mingus. James Baldwin is my favorite writer and Yasiin Bey my favorite rapper.  “I am black; I am in total fusion with the world, in sympathetic affinity with the earth, losing my id in the heart of the cosmos -- and the white man, however intelligent he may be, is incapable of understanding Louis Armstrong or songs from the Congo. I am black, not because of a curse, but because my skin has been able to capture all the cosmic effluvia. I am truly a drop of sun under the earth.” - Frantz Fanon

Think before you go around accusing black bloggers of racism and hate

You are being riled up and offended by the opinion of a stranger on the internet

Hate is having your people enslaved and then assimilating them into a society with virtually no stable economy or academic system

Hate is lynching successful Black businessmen for excelling at their craft

Hate is raping Black mothers and daughters and selling the offspring, hate is preventing blacks to marry and splitting families with no ways of contacting each other. Hate is forcing black woman into “mistress’s” and then degrading their existence

Hate is systematically targeting Black men and portraying them as sexual threats to white woman, inferior beings only useful as means of exploited labor and entertainment

Hate is culturally appropriating a peoples culture and excluding them from it, poorly imitating their lives while taking their credit

Hate is telling little black children that they should not reach for their goals because it is “unrealistic” for black children to aspire to be doctors, lawyers and politicians

Hate is teaching black children that white people are the source of success and that only through their “blessing” can they succeed

Hate dismissing the experiences of a people because it’s an “excuse” when the consequences of this hypocritical government and it’s false documents created this injustice

Hate is policing people and representing them through a eurocentric perspective rather than their own

Hate attacking people for being who they are, for demanding respect, education and equal education

You cannot comprehend what Hate is
